Who we are
Our Mission
Questions

There is a process in cultivating and working the land that God has given us to sustain ourselves.  Once the seed is planted and taken care of, it produces fruit that nourishes us and gives us the energy to keep cultivating.  The family rejoices to see that in all their hard work they receive their daily bread.

Our spiritual life is very similar to those that work the land (Farmers and agriculturalist).  Men and women, we are called to plant seeds of love, unity, hope and salvation through the word of God.

The name of our ministry (Semilla (seed)) is based on this very idea.  The seed is planted by the members of our ministry that represent our church.  Our job is to make sure that those who believe are also nourished by the word of God; they continue to grow in the Lord and in the process help others grow.

This ministry is committed to the Lord and the people who make God’s church.  Our responsibility is to take our mission to the Catholic parishes and respond to their leaders needs.  In return, they will be responsible for the continuation of the work performed by Semilla.

The gospel of St Matthew 13:31 tells us that the kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed which is the smallest of all seeds, but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches.  Our ministry is like the mustard seed and our vision is to produce abundant gifts for the enrichment of our church and the Glory of God.
